Hikvision Person Detection

I've been messing with the Hikvision Smart Events lately and noticed it pulls motion into Obseron as only "motion" or "dwell". Is there a way to send the person or vehicle detection notification?

Lately our solution has been to send snapshots directly from the camera via email or sms.

  Hey Robin,

  Sorry for the delayed answer.

  The events we get from Hikvision Smart Events are:

  • Motion
  • Dwell
  • Line detection
  • Entering/Exiting
  • Tampering
  • Object Removed/Abandoned
  • Digital Input
  • Heat detection
  • People Counter

  These events do not carry any additional information with them, so there is no way to separate person/vehicle detection notifications from these, even if the camera has a feature for this.

  That's ok. Thanks for the help!

  I think what I'll do going forward is to just enable person OR vehicle detection on the cameras. That way, if Obseron sees a motion event, I know what it is.
