Inputs
To use inputs with rules, navigate to Settings > Rules and add a new rule with the sign. Select the newly added rule and Add condition. Select Digital input as the condition type, select the device (Camera, Modbus or Ksedio) and the input to be used.
As the input circuit closes, the light on the rule condition lights up and triggers any action linked to this rule.
Outputs
To use ouputs with rules, navigate to Settings > Rules and add a new rule with the sign. Select the newly added rule and Add condition. Select any condition for the rule to trigger the action.
Click Add action and select Control a digital output, select the device, the output to control and the mode. The mode has 2 options, On and Off, that either close or open the output circuit.
Enable Release action to change the output back to its earlier state when the condition is inactive.
Example scenario
A gate is controlled with a button on the control center. When the button is pressed, the output relay will control the gate logic to open the gate. The gate will close automatically when the output relay is not active.
When the button is pressed once, the rule will keep the output relay active for 5 seconds (Hold for value). After the 5 seconds, the condition turns back to inactive and the release action triggers, returning the output relay back to inactive.
