Newer devices using Modbus protocol (such as Moxa ioLogik) and camera I/Os using ONVIF can be used with Obseron.
Modbus
Obseron Modbus protocol supports most I/O devices that use Modbus/TCP (such as Moxa ioLogic, Advantech ADAM).
To add a Modbus device, navigate to Settings > Devices, press the sign to add a new device and select Modbus. Enter an IP address and port – the device will connect automatically.
By default, the device settings are correct for Moxa ioLogik E1214 (6 inputs and 6 outputs). Change these to match the device being used.
ONVIF camera
Cameras with inputs and/or outputs can be used via ONVIF if the camera supports this.
To use the camera I/Os, add the camera as an ONVIF camera (Add a camera) and navigate to the settings of the camera, select the Components tab and add an ONVIF events component.
Using the I/O devices
To learn how to use any of these I/O devices, see (Using I/O with rules).
