Hardware decoding

Hardware decoding can be activated to decrease the load from CPU when decoding the camera streams. Hardware decoding works on NVIDIA and Intel GPUs.

To enable hardware decoding:

1. Open Settings > System
2. Enable Use hardware decoding
3. Click on the Select cameras... button
4. Select the cameras to be decoded using GPU

Amount of cameras that a single GPU can handle varies based mainly on camera resolution, camera fps and the amount of GPU RAM. Cameras should be enabled one at a time and opened in to the view to confirm enough GPU RAM is available. If the camera image shows black in the live view, the RAM is full.
