Add users and give permissions

Add users to limit access to certain features, cameras or recordings.

Add an administrator

The first user is automatically an administrator with permission to everything.

1. Go to Menu > Settings > Users.
   
2. Click + to add a new user.
3. Give the user a username and password.
4. Click Create administrator.
5. Administrator is now created and appears on the list.

Add a basic user

After creating an administrator, the following users are basic users.

1. Go to Menu > Settings > Users.
2. Click + to add a new user.
3. Give the user a username and password.
4. Click Create user.
5. User is now created and appears on the list.

Give permissions

1. Go to Menu > Settings > Permissions.
   
2. Click + to create a new permission group.
3. Enter a name for the group in the dialogue window.
4. Add members to this group by clicking Add user.
5. Select users to be added from the dialogue window by clicking them. Hold the Shift key to select multiple users.
6. Click Select. The users are now members of this group and appear on the list.
7. Go to the Permissions tab and select the desired permissions by clicking the checkboxes next to them.
